Heavy rain and storms this evening all went north of this station without a drop. 17: Partly cloudy and breezy during the afternoon. 18-19: Cloudy becoming partly cloudy with light variable breezes both days. 20: Big line of heavy rain and storms fell apart as it approached early this morning. No rain fell once again. Cloudy and breezy, clearing after 4pm. 21: Fog early then sunny and pleasant. 22: Sunny and very warm becoming cloudy after 1pm with moderate SW breezes. 23: Partly sunny and continued warm with light breezes. Light shower around 9am, trace. Another big line of heavy rain and storms fell apart as it approached the area. 24: Cloudy and cooler. 25: Cloudy and warmer again. Some sun began around 10am, remained mostly cloudy. 26: Cloudy, light showers began around 10am tapering off by mid-afternoon only .10" fell. 27: Partly cloudy becoming sunny by 10am with light breezes. 28: Cloudy and cool this morning becoming partly sunny by 11am with light east winds. 29: Rain this morning 7-9am briefly heavy with gusty winds from NW 20+ mph .20" rain fell and temperatures fell this afternoon with partial clearing as a strong cold front passed through. 30: Clear with light frost this morning, first of season, chilly low 37 F. Mostly sunny but some passing clouds with a light PM shower. SUMMARY: September 2005 was the driest September on record with only .34" precipitation and was the second driest month overall. The previous September record was 0.66" in 1994 and the driest month was .19" in November 1998. It was also the warmest September on record with a mean temperature of 67.9 F. The previous record was 67.1 F in 1998. September 1998 still had a warmer mean max temp, 81.2 F compared to 79.6 F this month. Additional notes/records 16: Record high min 68 F 26: Record high min 64 F September 2005 was the 2nd driest September ever with 0.34" of rainfall. The driest was 1985 with a mere 0.08" of rain and that was the driest month ever.
