Windy this afternoon. 4: Warm high 76 F. 5: Record high of 79 F. 9-10: Steady light rain began late on the 9th and continued through the pre- dawn hours of the 10th, totaling .63". 16: Steady light rain all day with fog, .73" rain fell. 17-18: Drizzle, occasional light rain and fog. 21: Heavy late morning showers, .53" of rain. 23: A surprise late-evening snow squall dropped 0.8" of snow. 27: Steady rains, briefly mixed with sleet this morning, heavier rain with imbedded thunderstorms during the mid-late evening hours, 1.08" by 12am. 28: Rain ended overnight another .22" fell for a storm total of 1.30". Much milder with a high of 60 F this afternoon. MONTHLY SUMMARY After two extremely dry months, an active weather pattern returned in November. Thunderstorms rumbled through the area on the first morning of the month. There were frequent rainfall events, with precipitation evenly distributed through the month. Nearly an inch of snow fell from a surprise squall late on the 23rd. Both sleet and thunder, along with the month's heaviest rain 1.08" on the 27th. Meanwhile, temperatures were very mild, with record warmth early with a high of 79 on the 5th. Temperatures tended towards the warm side all month, and in a year with all sorts of wacky temperature patterns and swings, November 1994 ended up the 3rd warmest on record with a mean temperature of 46.9 F, the 3rd warmest on record. This was the 5th month in 1994 that ranked in the top 5 warmest or coldest.
