Distant lightning but no thunder. 13: Occasional rain during the afternoon & evening .33" fell. 14: Became very mild high 70 F with a few light showers. 15: Very mild high 73 F. 17: Mild high 60 F with an afternoon thunderstorm at 3:30pm then occasional brief showers through the evening .43" of rain fell. 20: Cool with spits of light rain and snow, not measurable 25: Overcast and foggy with light drizzle all day. 27: Rain developed overnight and was steady all day, and became heavy at times during the afternoon and especially evening hours with some downpours at times. A whopping 3.08" of rain fell by midnight, smashing a new daily rain record and causing minor flooding in the area. Heaviest rainfall in November since 1985. 28: A few showers overnight another .20" fell. Brief warm-up and sunshine before a round of light rain/snow showers and gusty winds this afternoon. Storm total precipitation 3.30". MONTHLY SUMMARY November began cold and windy with snow flurries, but temperatures rebounded, with the warmest temperatures at mid-month, peaking at 73 on the 15th. Overall, temperatures were near normal. Not much rain fell until the 27th, when a day- long deluge along a cold front brought a record 3.08" and 3.30" in just over 24 hours. This caused some minor flooding in the area and pushed precipitation above normal for the third consecutive month, completing a wet fall of 1993. Additional notes/records 1: Record low max temperature with a high of only 37 F. Trace of snowfall. 15: Record high min 52 F. High of 73 but not a record (76 in 1956). 27: Smashing daily rainfall record of 3.08". Water crest on Wills Creek of 10.26' (early on the 28th) is the 10th highest flood level to date.
