Line of thunderstorms dropped a quick .33" of rain early this afternoon followed by gusty winds and rapidly falling temperatures 12: Cool high only 49 F, daily record low max (later broken, 47, in 2008). 13: Record low 31 F with freeze and frost. This was one of the most dramatic temperature turnarounds of all-time, as this all-time record monthly high came only 5 days after a record low of 29! The low of 69 also sets a new daily record high min. 20: Very hot again with another record-shattering high of 94 F today. 21: 3rd consecutive record high of 90 F. A quick-moving thunderstorm early this afternoon. 24: Early evening thundershower. 26: Cool with light PM rain and drizzle. 27: Cool, periods of light rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms this evening. 28: Cool with more rain and showers 29: Thunderstorms overnight dropped .38" of rain. Another round of heavy rain during the mid-morning, .99" of total rainfall today. 30: Chilly low 39 F this morning. MONTHLY SUMMARY May brought incessant rainfall, thunderstorms and fog. 16 days had at least a tenth of an inch of rainfall - a new monthly record. 6.53" of rain racked up this month. This was not a record, however. Temperatures were on the cool side, but ironically, the hottest ever temperature in the month of May was recorded on the 19th with a sizzling high of 96. This occurred 5 days after the month's low, which was a record cold reading of 29 on the 14th. Undoubtedly, this was one of the most dramatic temperature turnarounds ever. Record highs were logged again on the 20th (94) and 21st (90). Wow!
