Line of thunderstorms moved through late in the evening dropping .19" of rain. 4-10: Cool - Seven consecutive days in the 50s and 60s. Occasional rain on the 8th with heavy evening thunderstorms, 1.12" fell for the day. Heavy showers early afternoon on the 9th dropped another .72" for a storm total of 1.84". 13: Warm and humid with a mild afternoon thunderstorm, .16" of rain. 15: Much cooler with drizzle and light rain all day 17: Warmer again with a brief downpour early this evening (.27" in 5 min.) 23: Hot high 90 F, 1 degree shy of the record 91 set in 1964 24: Occasional rain showers, foggy, cool 28: Chilly this morning low 38 30: Cool, high 56 sets record low max for date, steady AM rain, brief late evening showers with some thunder MONTHLY SUMMARY May brought cool temperatures and frequent showers but slightly below average rain- fall. Temperatures varied quite a bit, with highs of 90 recorded twice (2nd and 23rd) and several days in the 80s, but also quite a few only in the 50s and 60s. There were three mornings in the 30s but no sub-freezing temperatures. The most substantial event was a low-pressure system that moved slowly northwards and dropped 1.84" of rain on the 8th and 9th.
