Total .50" rain fell. 2: Shower about 4am (.14) and brief shower 10:45am total .16" rain. 3: Light-moderate mix of rain and sleet through the AM hours. Mix of sleet/snow & rain all afternoon total .82" fell by midnight with about 1" of sleet accumulation. 4: Freezing drizzle overnight (0.08") and dense AM fog, clearing by afternoon. 5: Heavy fog & clouds early. PM rain total .35" 6: Gusty winds and snow showers throughout the day with very little accumulation. 14: Rain heavy at times overnight and through the morning. Light rain & drizzle after 11am total 1.25" fell. 18: Light to moderate rains through the afternoon & evening .50" fell 19: Rain overnight changed to wet snow. Periods of snow throughout the day 1.5" accumulation and another .44" precip. Snow was very wet and stuck to everything. 21: Very mild high 70F 27-28: Again very mild high 71F on 27th and 74F on 28th 31: Temperatures dropped rapidly this evening with flurries and snow showers. Summary: March brought a mixed bag of weather, below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation. There wasn't much snow but sleet & freezing rain as well as fog were common especially early in the month. Temperatures warmed into the 70s late in the month. Additional notes/records 14th: Record daily rainfall of 1.25" but this record was quickly broken in 1999 with 1.56" (and also 13" of snow) 19th: Record low max of 33 F
