Not a record however (75 F in 1992). 4-5: 1.92" of rainfall. The heaviest rain fell during the evening of the 4th as a strong cold front passed through. 8-9: A second cold front passed through the evening of the 8th with strong winds, mountain snow showers and led to the month's low temperature of 19 F on the morning of the 9th. 18-19: 1.14" of rainfall, most of it falling on the 19th, 2nd heaviest event of the month. 20: NW winds gusted to 45 mph, causing scattered minor tree damage in the area. MONTHLY SUMMARY March had its usual temperature swings, occasionally strong winds and a couple of relatively heavy rain events. Temperatures overall were near normal, but were up and down like a yo-yo. The warmest temperature was set early on the 3rd, preceding a slow-moving cold front that produced heavy rain on the 4th-5th (1.92"). Another front passing through the evening of the 8th brought more wind and ushered in the coldest temperatures of the month on the morning of the 9th. Although there were some winter-like temperatures, virtually no snow fell. It is unusual to not see at least one or two decent snows during the month of March. Precipitation was slightly below normal, mainly due to the lack of snowfall. There were 12 days with measurable rainfall, but only two particularly significant events (4th-5th and 18th-19th). Additional notes/records 26: Record high min 50 F
