Heavy wet snow 6 to 12 inches plus fell in the higher elevations but only a trace of snow here. 25: Mild high 76 F with some thunder this evening but only .02" rain. Summary: March was very mild with an unusually early 80-degree reading on the 8th. There was little cold, and no measurable snow for the first time on record. Precipitation was below normal, although there were two significant storms with over an inch of rain on the 11th and 21st. Additional notes/records 7: Record high 75 F 8: Record high 80 F. A close 2nd to 1974 (March 5th) for earliest 80-degree day in a season. 9: Another record high 74 F. March 2000 tied 1968 and 1979 for the 5th warmest March on record with a mean temperature of 44.7 F.
