SUMMARY: Welcome rains fell in June, which was the first month with above normal precipitation since January and is thus far the wettest month this year. However, we did not get the excessive rain and severe flooding that hammered areas to our east. Temperatures were near normal, with no extreme or prolonged heat. The first half of June was relatively cool, with more typical summer heat and humidity creeping in during the second half. Hail fell twice, but the area escaped any particularly severe weather. Additional notes/records 1: Daily record 1.48" of precipitation.
