Pleasant afternoon with brilliant blue skies against majestic clouds. Thunder- shower between 8:15-8:40pm total .08" rain. Temperature dropped to 54 F this evening. 2: Variable clouds. Brief storm about 4:30 and a couple more brief storms this evening--one about 10pm and another just before midnight .18" rain total. 4: Cloudy skies moved in by 7am. Cool and cloudy all day. Light rain 10pm-midnight .07" fell. 5: Intermittent light rain continued overnight and through about 9am. Another .17" fell--not as much as expected. Another cool day with a high of 62 F. 7: Heavy AM fog, then became partly sunny and warm. 9: Dense fog for the 3rd consecutive morning. Increasing clouds through the AM and Variable PM clouds and hot high 89 F. 11: Steady light to moderate rain began this morning and continued all day with cooler than normal temps. Heavier rain between 6-8pm with most of the 1.31" that fell today falling in those two hours. Rain ended by 9pm. 13: Overnight rain between 4-6am was heavy at times .57" fell. Heavy overcast all day and relatively cool, no more rain. 14: Much warmer high 85 F and humid with a few sprinkles. 15: Dense valley fog in AM. Very humid with near 100% humidity and hot as well 90 F which is the hottest this year so far. Some heavy cumulus clouds in PM but no rain. 16: Warm and humid. Mostly cloudy skies. Shower between 5-6pm dropped .06" rain. Some late evening fog. 17: AM fog. Mostly cloudy warm & humid. Very brief strong storm about 5:30pm dropped a quick .17" rain in < 10 minutes. More strong storms just to N this evening about 8pm but only .01" more rain. 20: Much cooler overnight with gusty WNW winds 20-25 mph and a low of 47 F with clear skies. Mostly sunny and pleasant with a few passing clouds and a high of 77 F. 22: A few sprinkles around 2-3pm a storms skipped over the mountains asusual. Mostly cloudy skies all day. 24: A clear sunny day and hot high 88 F. 25: Partly cloudy in AM and a hazy overcast in PM. Thundershower between 4:30-5:30pm dropped .47" rain in an hour. Some minor flooding occurred in the southwest part of the county. 28: Mostly cloudy with some heavy skies at times and cooler. Brief shower about 8:45pm. Only .04" rain fell. SUMMARY: June was a relatively quiet month weatherwise. Temperatures were up and down through the month and were close to normal. There were no extended periods of heat. Showers and storms were scattered about but the big storms missed this station and precipitation ended up slightly below normal. There was no severe weather of note during June.
