Summary: July was quiet with near-normal temperatures and precipitation. With a lack of storm fronts there was relatively little variation in temperatures most of the month. The near-normal precipitation total was deceptive, as about 2/3 of the month's rain fell in a 12-hour period on the 30th-31st. Additional notes/records No daily temperature records this month. 1.50" of rainfall on the 30th set a new daily record but this record was smashed on July 30, 2004 when training thunderstorms dumped 3.10" of rain, setting the all-time daily record for July.
