Rain tapered off by 11am but another heavy downpour about 1:30pm with gusty winds. Continued very mild high 62F. Total rain .95" fell today. 15: Intermittent light freezing rain during the day .17" fell and all of it froze causing a sheet of glaze. 23: Wet snow overnight changed to freezing rain then rain during the day. Total 1.31" fell. Storm total 1.42" precip and 4.0" snow. 27: Wet snow began late this afternoon. Finally began to accumulate by 8pm. Total 2.0" by midnight. 28: More snow overnight another 3.0" fell before changing to rain then ending during the day. Total 5.0" snow melted to .92" precip. Summary: January seemed like spring at times with some mild temperatures and an overall mild weather pattern. There were still a number of winter storms that brought light to moderate amounts of snow and ice to the area. Precipitation was well above normal. Additional notes/records 1: Record low 1 F (coldest New Year's day reading on record!) 7: Record high min temperature of 50 F 8: Record high min temperature of 53 F. Also a daily record precipitation of 0.95" fell today.
