DAYS WITH FOG 2 SLEET 2 3-4: The season's heaviest snow storm moved in during the evening of the 3rd, with snow tapering off to flurries by dawn on the 4th. 5.5" of snow fell. Temperatures fell on the 4th, became very windy/blustery 5: Very cold this morning with a record low of 0. Occasional light snow showers. 6: Very cold low 4 F and high of only 15, the latter set daily record low 12: Cold again low 3 F. 15: Occasional rain showers, mixed with sleet during the evening. 23-24: Mild on the 23rd with rain falling late but as temperatures dropped the rain changed to wet snow early on the 24th with 1.5" falling. 26-28: Light showers of rain and sleet on the 26th. Light rain overnight on the 27th-28th with fog. MONTHLY SUMMARY Winter finally made an appearance during the first half of February 1995 with the season's only significant snowfall of 5.5" on the 3rd-4th, and an Arctic airmass following that brought record lows on the 5th and 6th. Of the first 14 days, 12 days were in the teens or lower, with six lows in single figures, and one reaching zero. Temperatures moderated during the second half, but did not nearly offset the cold of the first half. Additional notes/records 5: Record low 0 F.
