Sunny/clear through the day/night. 2: Cold clear AM, becoming mostly cloudy in PM. 3: A light wet snow through most of the day 1.5" fell .17" water equivalent. 4: Overnight fog. Decreasing clouds and slightly warmer today. 5: Patchy valley fog, otherwise clear. Mild high 44 F. 6: Mostly sunny, mild, clouds increased during the afternoon. 7: Mostly cloudy, hazy, mild. 8: Some light AM showers .03" fell, cloudy & foggy all day. 9: Dense fog overnight. Light rain began around noon and became moderate to heavy at times tapering off during the evening. Remained very foggy with slushy melting snow. 10: Temperatures falling through the day and windy with steady light snow and fog. About 3.0" total snow accumulation. WNW winds gusting to 35 mph. 11: Light snow ending overnight, mostly cloudy, blustery & cold with west winds gusting to 35 mph. More snow late this evening about 1.0" fell for the day. 12: Light snow overnight another 1.0" fell by 7am. Remained mostly cloudy and windy with temperatures warming through the day. 13: Clear AM skies followed by gradual increasing clouds. 14: Moderate rain and freezing rain from about 5am-noon then light rain mixed with sleet at times through the afternoon and fog. Temperature spiked up to 41 F this evening as strong SW winds gusted 35 mph. A total of .69" precipitation fell with a trace of ice. 15: Gusty SW winds continued overnight with temperatures continuing to rise. No snow on ground at 7am breaks streak of 29 consecutive days with at least an inch or more. Mostly sunny, breezy and unseasonably mild high 56 F. 16: Some brief heavy AM showers mixing with snow by about 10am. Moderate snow showers through the morning but negligible accumulation. Windy with temperatures slowly falling through the day. 17: A cold blustery day with falling temperatures, gusty WNW winds to 30 mph and snow showers and squalls. Heaviest snow fell 8-10am. Light snow and snow showers continued through the day 3.2" by midnight. 18: Snow showers overnight another 1.0" fell. Mostly cloudy with flurries, cold & windy. High only 14 F low 6 F. NW winds gusting 35 mph. More snow showers this evening 1.5" fell for the day. 19: A little more snow overnight about 1/4" fell. Cold AM and not as cold during the day but still blustery with W/WSW winds gusting 30 mph and partly cloudy skies. 20: Overcast with AM flurries and mixed precipitation (snow/sleet/rain) developing during the afternoon and continued through the evening. SW winds gusting about 25 mph. 21: Overnight fog and light mixed precipitation. Became mild high 45 F. SW winds gusting 15-25 mph. Fog continued through the day with a bit of drizzle. A total of .54" melted precip fell from 2/20-2/21. 22: Overcast with light winds and a few flurries. 23: Mostly cloudy with occasional light snow showers. 24: Colder with steady snow developing and continuing through the day. A total of 7.0" fell making it the highest day total this season. 25: Light snow overnight another 0.5" fell, then partly cloudy and cold. 26: Light snow overnight 1.0" fell. AM clouds/sun mix then increasing PM clouds with flurries again. 27: Clear and cold overnight, sunny during the day. 28: Light snow on and off through the day becoming moderate to heavy during the evening. About 6.0" of new snow fell by midnight... SUMMARY: February brought a relatively active weather pattern with frequent storm systems bringing a mixed bag of precipitation. Like January, most of the precipitation during the second half of the month was snow. Precipitation and snowfall were near normal. Temperatures were fairly variable but with few extremes, averaging a bit milder than normal overall.
