Less than 1/4" accumulation. 4: Much milder high 50 F, mostly sunny. 5: Sunny & mild high 58 F. 6: Sunny & mild high 60 F. 7: Sunny & mild. Increasing clouds by sunset. 8: AM drizzle, then clearing & mild, but became cloudy again late. 9: AM fog, partly cloudy & mild PM, rain developing during the evening .24" fell. 11: Windy and blustery with a dusting of snow overnight. WNW winds gusting to 30 mph. 14: Cloudy with periods of rain through the day .61" fell. 15: Partly cloudy AM, mostly cloudy PM. Mild high 56 F. 16: Cloudy with very brief AM shower (trace) then mostly cloudy, breezy and turning colder. 19: Coldest morning so far this month low 19 F. Sunny/clear, light west breezes. 20: Cloudy with a cold rain this evening 8pm-midnight .18" fell. Some light glaze was observed on nearby mountain tops. 21: Rain ending overnight and cloudy with fog on mountains. A little more rain this evening another .06" fell today. 22: Mild high 48 F with AM clouds & PM sun. SNOW! 24: Light snow began about 4am and continued through the day moderate to heavy during the afternoon and evening 7.0" fell. 26: Some light AM snow with no measurable accumulation, then partial sunshine. MORE SNOW! 28: Light snow began about 5am and continued through the day moderate to heavy at times. A total of 7.5" fell by midnight with close to 11 inches on the ground by then. SUMMARY: Until the final five days, February was a relatively quiet weather month. Temperatures were on the mild side with no extreme cold. It was the seventh consecutive month of above normal temperatures, completing a very mild winter. Despite the mild and dry conditions, snowfall ironically ended up above normal after two major winter storms on the 24th and 28th dropped a combined 14.5 inches.
