Nice rainbow this afternoon. 17: Light rain .23" 27: Coldest day of season thus far high 32 F low 15 F and the first "measurable" snow of 0.2" 28-29: A snow squall around midnight on the 28th/29th dropped 1" of snow in 30 minutes. Summary: December was exceptionally mild, and, once again, dry. Though there were more days with rainfall than in any of the previous three months, precipitation failed to reach the 2-inch mark for the 4th consecutive month. This is very rare. Meanwhile, December was consistently mild, with a mean temperature of 38.0 F, just missing the top 5 warmest (6th). No measurable snow fell until the 27th-29th. Additional notes/records 5: High 73 F.
