Rain continued all day heavy at times. Total 2.70" fell, heaviest rain since Fran in 1996. Very cool high 45F 26: Morning shower dropped .10" rain. Some sunshine but clouds moved in this evening with a cold front. Rain showers and rapidly falling temperatures. Total rain .55" 30: Few morning showers .11" fell. Heavy downpours 4-5:15pm total .80" rain today. Summary: April brought cooler than normal temperatures and quite a bit of rain. Two systems brought over two inches of rainfall. Thunder was only observed twice. Daily notes/records 1st: Daily record high min of 51 F. This was set at midnight - the morning low was 62! 9th: Daily rainfall record 1.70" fell. 16th: Daily record high min 58 F 19th: Daily record rainfall 2.69" fell. This is the 2nd heaviest rain day ever for the month of April. 20th: Daily record low max 42 F. 30th: Daily record rainfall 0.80" fell. April 1998 was the 3rd wettest April on record with 6.80" of precipitation.
