MONTHLY SUMMARY April had near-normal temperatures and below normal precipitation. The heaviest rain fell on the 1st, while the season's last measurable snow fell on April 9th. This capped off the 2nd snowiest winter season ever. The snowiest season was 1960-61, which had 83.2" of snow, so this was a very close 2nd. Temperatures fluctuated wildly through the month as many fronts passed through. Snow flurries were observed as late as the 17th. Damaging winds were observed on the 26th.
