Snow showers on the 2nd (0.1") 4-5: Few ice pellets on the 4th then light freezing rain on the 5th (not measurable) 10: Late evening mild thunderstorms 11: Warm, thunder, but only a trace of rain 18: Brief thunderstorm at midday with pea-sized hail 21: Steady rain with dense fog - 1.15" of rainfall sets new daily record 24: Series of brief thunderstorms, some with damaging winds up to 60 mph 25: Occasional brief showers with one rumble of thunder 26: Midday shower with hail, but no thunder MONTHLY SUMMARY April 1992 had considerably below normal precipitation with very little rainfall aside from the 21st. Temperatures slightly above average despite a start. This was a rare month where all six special observations (fog, thunder, sleet, glaze, hail & damaging winds) were observed.
